*SEPTEMBER 12, 2010* BALTIMORE MINIATURES FESTIVAL
New Location! Actually just a new name - it WAS the
Holiday Inn when we started this show about 12 years
ago. Now it's a Crowne Plaza, conveniently located
at 2004 Greenspring Drive, Lutherville, MD (I know,
how come it's not called Timonium, as that's where
it's located - ask the Fire Dept., it's too confusing!)
So well located -I 95 to the Baltimore Beltway 695
to Exit 24 Rte 84N to the first exit 16A. Turn right
and you're at the Crowne Plaza. We're so convenient
to all parts of Baltimore, Maryland, Delaware and
Pennsylvania, too. Plan to come a day early and enjoy
Baltimore's famous Inner Harbor, the National Aquarium
and Kupjack rooms at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
Reserve your room now - (410) 252-7373. Ask for Miniatures
Festival Block. This show attracts a lot of serious
collectors, crafters and families - and always a group
of younger collectors - enough that dealers comment
on it. NAME Region E-1 members are going to have a
Fun Day workshop on Saturday before the show, which
should also attract some newcomers. Fly in to BWI
Airport. If you would like to teach on Friday, September
10, get back to me by April 15.
*OCTOBER 24, 2010* 27th TYSONS CORNER MINIATURES
FESTIVAL
The Tysons Corner retail area has too much construction
to deal with, so I made a recent decision to move
this popular show to a wonderful space and perfect
location - just off the Washington, DC Beltway in
Virginia - the Westin Tysons Corner Hotel, 7801 Leesburg
Pike at Beltway Exit 47B - convenient for you as well
as your customers! Note a change of date as well.
When I chose our original date, it's significance
escaped me - apparently in many cultures where numerology
is important, the date of 10/10/10 is considered a
lucky day to be married - so every hotel I spoke with
had weddings that Sunday - all day! And I didn't want
our customers to compete with the crowd, the noise
or parking spaces! You will love our new site. At
the end of the show I'll get your reaction to the
Westin and if you vote "yes", we'll be here
for the next three years. Last year record sales and
crowds were reported at the Tysons show! It's the
one the Washington, DC Metro area waits for. Business
travelers plan their meetings in DC around it! And
serious collectors know they can arrive at either
Reagan National or Washington Dulles airports and
use Mears Shuttle to reach the hotel. Clubs, couples
and families line up waiting for the doors to open!
I've blocked rooms before and after the show so you
can extend your time in Washington, DC, if you wish,
at a very affordable rate of $89, unheard of in the
DC suburbs. Customers arrive from the high demographic
areas of Fairfax and Loudoun counties in Virginia
and Potomac, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Maryland as well
as Georgetown and NW Washington DC. Our Room Block
is under Molly Cromwell Miniatures Show. Call the
Westin Tysons Corner 703.893.1340 now to reserve your
room. Get back to me no later than April 15 if you
wish to teach a workshop on Saturday, October 23.

Logan Airport - each about an hour's drive from the
charming Town of Sturbridge. A $10 Transient Vendors
License fee, allowing you to do business in their
town, is noted on your contract, payable to me - as
I obtain your TVL from Town Hall before you arrive,
having posted bond in Boston! Reserve your space &
submit workshops now!
*SEPTEMBER 11, 2011* BALTIMORE MINIATURES FESTIVAL
We're returning to the Crowne Plaza in Timonium, site
of our first Baltimore Festival back when it was a
Holiday Inn. Well located and attracting customers
from Delaware, Pennsylvania and points north, and
of course, from the metropolitan Baltimore and Washington,
DC areas. Customers who attend are serious collectors
- you will be delighted with your sales - but don't
let anybody know - this show is one of the miniature
show circuits best kept secrets, as dealers have found
out - that way there are larger slices in the proverbial
salesroom pie! You'll also love the room rate - listed
under Dollhouse Show (410) 252-.7373 Arrive BWI Airport/Baltimore
and take the shuttle - (800) 258-3826. Stay an extra
