Celebrating
30 years of Molly Cromwell Presents...Miniature Shows!
I'm so looking forward to 2013 and a whole year
of celebrating the anniversary of my first miniatures
show in 1983. We have a stellar line up of legends
and newcomers to delight collectors and first timers,
alike. Please print out this information so you can
refer to it...and the show or shows, you'll be participating
in.
My original show was the Tysons Corner Dollhouse
Show held in both May and October, 1983. We've changed
the name to the Mid-Atlantic Miniatures Festival,
taking place in October 2013. I will announce the
Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, DC site after
the first of the year...in the meantime, let me know
if you would like a contract for this show. It's going
to be a great celebration you won't want to miss!

Registering for Massachusetts Sales Tax
*These instructions are intended for anyone who has
never attended a show as a vendor in Massachusetts
and needs to register for sales tax. If you have attended
a show in the past, contact me. We may be able to
reopen an old registration.*
Any questions, feel free to contact:
Robin Diaz of the MA Dept. of Revenue
508-792-7300 Ext. 22435
Email: Diazro@dor.state.ma.us
Here are the instructions to register online:
Go to www.mass.gov/dor
and do the following:
Click on "Webfile for Business" near the
top of the screen (it's a big icon)
Then "Register Now"
Then select the second option "I am registering
to file, pay taxes or submit new hire reports for
my company only."
Then select the second option "My business is
not registered with the Massachusetts Department of
Revenue to file/pay taxes. I now wish to register
my business with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue
and wish to register to file/pay electronically."
Then "Begin Registration"
If you are only attending this one show in MA during
the year, when the form gets to the section where
it asks you if the business is "seasonal,"
select "yes" and click on "June."
If you will be attending additional shows, click on
those months as well. This is so that you only need
to file a return for that (those) particular month(s).
Also, you must file a return for that (those) particular
months every year until you cancel your registration.
Massachusetts does not offer temporary registrations.
This registration will be permanent until you elect
to close it. If you decide later that you do want
to close it, call or send me an email and I will assist
you. (Tip: Keep your username and password for future
use in a safe place. Since the password is case sensitive,
be sure to reflect that in your notes.)
Also, there is a section during the registration
that states that adding a bank account is optional.
To save you some time and confusion later, please
complete the bank information. In order to pay your
taxes, we will need this information. If you file
your return online, you must also pay online.
To file your return after the show, do the following:
Log into your account on Webfile for Business.
Once logged in and on the Welcome page, click on
"File, Pay, or Amend Returns."
Then click "Select an Action."
Then "File a return."
Then "Start" next to the appropriate tax
period (in this case, 06/30/13). You do not need to
file all the other months that are listed. Only file
the months you registered for, unless you participate
in another show during the year. Then file a return
for that month, as well.
At the end of the return, it will ask you if you
want to make the payment. Click "yes" and
the payment will be taken out of the bank account
you provided. This will complete the entire process.
You should receive a confirmation number.
If you have any questions, feel free to give me a
call. I walk people through Webfile for Business all
the time. It is much easier than it sounds. Please
inform the promoter of any show you attend of your
sales tax ID number. Promoters are required by the
MA Dept. of Revenue to collect and submit vendor information
to us.
Thank you,
Robin Diaz
